Faust doesn’t really have strong attacks, but he does have a lot of health PLUS Magent Zealots that do his healing for him. Objective #3: Get to the Stage and Defeat Felix Faust At this point, you find the last relevant objective laid out for you. It’s hard to tell if she’s winning so you might as well join the fray. Zatanna is already in here, locked in battle with Faust. The endzone marked on the map is the stage area. Before you leave this place, note the last Soul Globe beside the exit. Disturb the ritual, and some Soulless Thralls start attacking you. In this room, there are four mages keeping the forcefield in place. Here, you’ll find your path blocked by a magical barrier. Note that Point B is where the last of the healing stones are. These are healing stones, which you can break to restore health and power. You can destroy these if you need to (see Feats section).įrom there, go up the stairs, and look around for an orange stone hidden behind a vase. These are Soul Globes, which Faust uses to entrap victims to gather his power. Dispose of the adds in this room quickly, and note the purple spheres. Kill these to stop them from healing Faust, and you’ll be fine.įrom the starting area, run then stop at point A. These are healers found in the final room. Apprentice Magents, Magent Neophytes and Magent Zealots Only the Magent Zealots are of note. All of these attacks are defensible - blocking or rolling out of the way can easily mitigate them. Their best melee moves are a “dual slash” combo that hits for more than 100 to 130 health and a cone of fire that burns you for 7 to 9 per second. You can easily see it coming though: their right hand always starts glowing white first. Their best ranged attack is a bolt of lightning (or fire?) that hits for more than 100 health. Wizard Magents Their ranged and melee attacks are quite powerful, and they’re a lot tougher to boot.Seems like Faust’s practices leave his victims looking like mini-Solomon Grundys. These guys are brawlers, and slow ones at that. Soulless Thralls The poor guys fueling the Soul Globes. There are a variety of adds in the instances, consisting of Soulless Thralls and a variety of Magents. The 25 to 30 enemies scattered throughout the map will catch up to you at this point, and promptly cut you to ribbons. If you have anything less than Tier 2 armor and no healing stones in hand though, this tactic is not advisable. If you do, be prepared to be ganged up on. You can choose to go straight through to C and ignore points A and B altogether. The entire map has around three major points of interest (marked as points A, B and C). Kill them, and you open up the endzone, which is where Felix Faust is holed up. Finding him is easy all you need to do is to reach a mystical barrier powered by Magents. The primary objective of the entire map is simple: Find Felix Faust and apprehend him. There is actually a second part to this episode, but you’ll need a Magic Hero to help you access it in Madame Xanadu’s Magic Shop. The instance is Episode I of the DCUO story arc “Til Death Do Us Part”. Problem is… with the Brainiac incursion occupying the Justice League, heroes are in short supply. She’s good, but she needs help since apparently Faust has an army of mages by his side. They’ve already sent Zatanna to bring him in. Wonder Woman and the Sentinels of Magic are out to stop him, and they’ve managed to track him down at MANNHEIM’s CHINESE THEATER in the Chinatown district of Metropolis. Now, he senses this lifelong pursuit is about to end the Flame is within reach, and all he needs to do is to acquire enough souls to fuel the Flame’s mysterious energies. The Flame of Life has always been the object of Felix Faust’s quest for power. It can be finished in less than 7 minutes with the proper gear, and is the best way to farm those Sentinels of Magic Commendations you need to get to Trusted Renown with the Magic Faction. It is one of the first solo instances available at level cap on the On-Duty Menu, and arguably the easiest instance in the game. MANNHEIM’S CHINESE THEATER is a Tier 1 Challenge in DC Universe Online.
